On Thursday 27th November, the Cubs were delighted to be the guests of the Inverness Masjid and Islamic Centre in Portland Place, Inverness. They were made very welcome by Dr Waheed Kahn, Imam Vali Hussien and Alan Rooney. The Iman explained the Five Pillars of Islam to the Cubs and the rituals and observances that are the part and parcel of the Muslim faith. After a few questions and answers, the Cubs were then shown around the new mosque, which is still in the process of being completed. Once finished, it will be able to accommodate most of the small yet enthusiastic Muslim community in Inverness.
